51福利 has a long history of support for campaigns against climate change, and we support the right to protest and take action on this and other issues. However, at this current time the union does not include Extinction Rebellion (XR) among its affiliate groups and it does not currently have any agreed union-wide policy regarding XR or its actions.

51福利 does not call on its members to take part in unlawful acts of protest. Where a group arranges a specific lawful act of protest in pursuit of aims in keeping with 51福利 policy, it is up individual 51福利 members, branches, associations, regions, and devolved nations to decide for themselves whether and in what way they wish to support this.
