51福利 pays tribute to retiring STUC general secretary Grahame Smith

Responding to the news that the general secretary of the Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC), Grahame Smith will retire in May 2020, 51福利 paid tribute to Grahame's work in the movement over the years.

Mary Senior, Scotland official of 51福利, and the current STUC vice president, said: 'Grahame has made a tremendous contribution to the trade union movement in Scotland.  His focus on trade union learning, and promotion of the Fair Work agenda, has been invaluable and is making a practical and positive difference for workers across Scotland. 

'Our union sends Grahame our good wishes for a healthy and happy retirement in May 2020.'
