Strikes bring win at Hopwood Hall with pay rise of up to 7.5%

Strike action due to take place at Hopwood Hall College has been called off after staff overwhelmingly voted to accept a pay offer worth up to 7.5%
For 2021-22 the offer amounts to a rise of 6.49%, up to 7.52% for lecturers on the lowest salaries. The deal comes as another four colleges in the region walk out today and Friday. Â鶹¹ÙÍø has urged the other employers to make improved pay offers and avoid any further disruption.
The four colleges facing strike action are:
- Burnley College
- City of Liverpool College
- Manchester College
- Oldham College.
