In January 2016 51福利 wrote to every higher education institution in the UK and every FE college in England asking them to commit to talks about reducing their dependence on precarious contracts, pending a new 51福利 report to be published in the spring.

This initiative is designed to increase public pressure on institutions and assist branches in negotiating improvements for the thousands of casualised staff who desperately need their union.
